Energy efficient led lights
Everybody wants to save the environment. Since global warming is increasing affecting the environment, people want to do something for that. Energy saving and ecofriendly bulbs help in reducing the heat. Energy efficient LED lights are both economic and energy saving.
The LEDs are solid light bulbs, which are compact and with superb energy efficiency. The latest LED bulbs with diffuser lenses that are grouped in clusters widened the applications to use the LED bulbs in home. Due to the rapid advancement of this LED technology various new styles of bulbs are available. Though the initial purchasing is costlier they are long lasting. Because of the continuous improving of manufacturing technology the prices are coming down.
Initially the Energy efficient LED bulbs are used as single bulb in instrument panels, pen lights and in electronics. Recently it is used in strings of outdoor and indoor Christmas lights. The application of LEDs is expanded by the manufacture by arranging the small bulbs in clusters. At present, 180 LED bulbs are there in one cluster and the diffuser lenses are spreading the light in wide type of beams. These days the LED bulbs have standard bases that can be fitted in the general household light fixtures. The home lighting for the next generation will be LED lights. The production cost of LED is high. But research is going on by replacing the sapphire based technology with inexpensive silicon wafers which will bring down the price of LED bulbs.
The benefits of this LED bulbs are they are long lasting when compared with other bulbs. Since these Led bulbs are solid without any filament durability is more. These bulbs don't produce heat when compared to common incandescent bulbs. This helps in reducing the air conditioning costs in home and it is also eco-friendly. Mercury is not used in the production of LEDS. Only 2-17 watts of electricity is used by these LEDs. LED bulbs fixed in the house save electricity, keeping the house cool and save electricity and money. Since its life is longer it reduces the replacement charges. LED bulbs are initially used for commercial purpose where replacement and maintenance cost are high. But now the cost has come down considerably they are used in home.
Today in market plenty of styles and models of LED bulbs are available. One must decide and choose according to his requirement is essential. LED bulbs are not only economical, but also environmental friendly.
