Midland Theater Tickets - Top Entertainment Is Coming To Kansas City

This spring in Kansas City, Mo. there isn't an event or a place you can't afford. With great ticket prices at http://www.stubhub.com and even greater shows coming to town – from ACDC to Mark Knopfler - Midland Theater event tickets are a must-have for all. The shows traveling through Kansas City are going to get everyone geared up for the summer, as A Chorus Line performers warm up those vocal chords while AC/DC and Mark Knopfler keep those fingers limber for some serious guitar shows. These are all bound to be events that you'll never forget, so don't miss it.

Coming into Kansas City's Sprint Center in early April following a cancelled performance from October, rockers AC/DC  are "gonna to wanna rock and roll all night" when they see fans at the Sprint Center. The veteran group, which has been an Australian-based outfit since the early '70s, is currently promoting Black Ice, the 2008 Columbia release that earned them fame as a comeback tour ensued.

The first album in nearly a decade from the guys of AC/DC, Black Ice proves that their sound will always remain the same – true rock and roll. Established musicians, they found that their days of proving something to audiences was long over and instead came out with Black Ice as a tribute to their true sound, making fans scream all over again to singles like "Rock N Roll Train" and "Skies on Fire." The album, just like before, wound up topping Billboards charts.

Another rocker who found international success in the '70s is Mark Knopfler, who opens up the Midland Theater this April. The show marks a change for many longtime Knopfler fans, who knew his voice and musical talents by way of the group Dire Straits, which he formed and led for nearly a decade and earned him great international success. The '80s brought a similar solo equation, as he released album after album throughout the new few decades. His latest release is 2009's Get Lucky, a Nonesuch Records set from September. Though he continues to find himself compared to his Dire Straits days, largely due to the fact that Knopfler was the chief writer, performer and face of the outfit, he has found much success as a solo star with a modified image. The result for Get Lucky was a Top 20 album on Billboard, among other things.

To change things up during this spring in Kansas City, enjoy the music and lyrics of Marvis Hamlisch and Edward Kleban, respectively, when the peppy musical A Chorus Line performs at the Musical Hall this April. A Broadway staple originally opening at Shubert Theater in 1975 and earning seven Tony Awards, the show has seen a series of revival acts and tours. The title leaves little to the imagination, as the play follows several dancers as they try out on Broadway to become part of the chorus line. "We were the first company that coined the phrase 'triple threat.' We had to do everything," Baayork Lee said on the company's website. Lee, a Chinese-American actress, played the original Connie 35 years ago.

When visiting Kansas City this year make sure that you don't miss out on all the ways to enjoy yourself! There are plenty of upcoming events to choose from.
